Summer, winter, spring or fall, the communities of Jackson County have a wide variety of one and multiple day events - just ready for YOU! Check out the Events Calendar for specific event times. Then, come join us in the communities of Jackson County.

Held the 3rd Thursday in August, the Minnesota Corn Cob Open is a 9-hole golf tournament for the duffer and the experienced golfer. THE TOURNAMENT IS OPEN TO Minnesota and National Corn Grower Members and Spouses Minnesota and National Associate Corn Grower Members and Spouses. It is a FUN tournament with trophies and awards. These awards will be divided into groups of Golfers with handicaps and Duffers with no handicaps. Groups will consist of Corn Growers, Associate Corn Growers, and Women.
The tournament is held at three courses:
Jackson Golf Club is located on Hwy. 71 N. in Jackson, MN.
Emerald Valley Golf Club is located on Hwy. 86 N. in Lakefield, MN.
Loon Lake Golf Club is located on Jackson Co. Rd. #17, south of Jackson, MN.


Gather with the buck skinners at the Annual Fort Belmont Rendezvous on the weekend after Labor Day to celebrate the lifestyle of years gone by. Primitive camping, cooking over an open fire, blacksmithing, demonstrations of pioneer living and other trades of the 1800’s will be on display to experience. Watch the Black Powder Rifle shoot on Saturday, take a horse-drawn wagon ride, or just enjoy the beautiful fall prairie flowers. Special entertainment will be on the schedule for the weekend.

Join us for a weekend of fun activities June 28 - 30, 2012.
Tri for Health is a triathalon type fun event for kids of every skill level from age 5 to 14. Chip timing will be provided by Pickle Events. By being an active kid, you will be able to complete all levels of this triathlon. Our goal is to make triathlons fun, and to keep kids healthy.
Pool swim. All start times will be assigned. Bike course will be out and back with controlled traffic by volunteers. Course is generally flat, with some small hills on the run course.
